In his welcoming remarks at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thai Phong, Rector of the Business School (Foreign Trade University), stated that the school focuses on training students with foundational knowledge, professional skills, and the ability to apply them to business activities in the digital environment. Collaboration with businesses helps to update market demands and provides opportunities for students to access specific work situations.
To concretize this direction, with the authorization of the Rector of the Foreign Trade University, the School of Business signed a memorandum of cooperation with 6 partners: the Center for E-commerce Development (eComDX) - Department of E-commerce, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Shopee Vietnam, Meta Ecom, Printway Vietnam, Bavor Consulting, and Ecom Stone Vietnam.
The signing ceremony of the MOU between the Center for E-commerce Development and several businesses with the Foreign Trade University demonstrates that the close collaboration model between the "State - University - Employer (business)" is the key to creating high-quality e-commerce human resources and a training ecosystem closely linked to practice.

Dr. Le Hoang Oanh - Director of the E-commerce Department, speaking at the event.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Le Hoang Oanh, Director of the E-commerce Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), highly appreciated the proactive efforts of the Business School of the Foreign Trade University in connecting with relevant businesses and organizations to improve the quality of training. According to the Director, developing human resources for e-commerce requires regular coordination and a clear division of roles between the State, universities, and businesses.
In this model, the State focuses on policy direction, perfecting a favorable environment for e-commerce development and promoting connections between parties; schools are responsible for building, organizing, and improving the quality of training programs, linking knowledge with practical skills; and businesses contribute information on human resource needs, participate in building learning content, share experiences, support practical training and internships, and connect students with jobs.
Regarding the Smart Digital Commerce and Business Innovation (SBI) program at the Foreign Trade University, Director Le Hoang Oanh noted that integrating specialized knowledge with practical market issues is a suitable approach to meet the current requirements for developing e-commerce human resources.
Sharing the same viewpoint, Associate Professor Dr. Le Thai Phong assessed that the cooperation between the University and its partners aims to integrate real-world problems, business projects, data, and applied technology into teaching activities; while also expanding opportunities for exchange with experts, practical training, and work environment experience for students.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thai Phong presents flowers to thank the partners who have accompanied FTU.
According to the signed memorandum, the Foreign Trade University and eComDX agree to establish a cooperative relationship based on equality, mutual benefit, and sustainable development, aiming to connect the University's training and research activities with the Center's practical operations, improve the quality of human resources and professional adaptability for students; create opportunities for students to access a real working environment, develop professional skills, and orient their careers to meet the needs of the labor market; and expand the network connecting the University and the Center with the ecosystem of technology partners and e-commerce businesses.

Participating in the seminar, Director Le Hoang Oanh advised university students to focus on developing five main skill groups during their four years of study: mastering e-commerce legal knowledge; understanding the market and customers; mastering AI and technology; becoming proficient in foreign languages to expand globally and develop cross-border e-commerce; and developing soft skills.
Through this signing ceremony, the collaboration between management agencies, training institutions, and businesses not only contributes to bringing knowledge, technology, and practical experience into the classroom but also expands opportunities for practical training, internships, and career development for students. Along with the launch of the Fizz Up Challenge competition at the signing ceremony, the program is expected to create further motivation for students to proactively cultivate knowledge, skills, technological application abilities, and innovative thinking, preparing them to participate in the labor market and contribute to the sustainable development of e-commerce in Vietnam.
