On May 10th in Hanoi, the Vietnam Youth Entrepreneurship Support Center (SYS Vietnam), the Center for E-commerce and Digital Technology Development - Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy - Ministry of Industry and Trade, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and TikTok Vietnam officially announced the ongoing training program "Standardizing Professional Competencies for Digital Commerce Content Creators".
The program is part of the "Enhancing Digital Economic Capacity for 20 Million Vietnamese Youth" project, aiming to build a force of content creators with sufficient knowledge, skills, and legal understanding to participate in the e-commerce market and the digital economy in a systematic and sustainable manner.

According to Mr. Nguyen Lam Thanh, TikTok's representative in Vietnam, the strong development of e-commerce, livestreaming commerce, and the creator economy in recent years is opening up many new career opportunities for young people. Vietnam is currently considered one of the countries with favorable conditions for developing the digital economy thanks to its high internet user rate, rapidly developing digital platform ecosystem, and dynamic youth force with strong adaptability to new technologies. The digital economy is becoming one of Vietnam's important growth drivers, especially in the context of strong global digital transformation.
In particular, the e-commerce and digital content creation sectors are creating "low barriers to entry" for young people, as all they need is a smartphone, an internet connection, and the right skills to participate in the digital labor market. This is considered highly significant not only for young people in urban areas but also opens up opportunities for income generation for young people in rural and remote areas.
Many economic experts believe that e-commerce and the digital economy not only create new jobs but also contribute to promoting digital transformation in social life, supporting the promotion of local products, geographical indications, and indigenous culture, and creating momentum for the development of the private economy in the new context.
Standardizing professional competencies and establishing a sustainable legal framework.
At the event, the Organizing Committee officially announced the standardized professional competency training program for digital commerce content creators. This is considered a strategic step to support young people in accessing new career models in a systematic way, such as livestream commerce, affiliate marketing, and e-commerce operations.
Speaking about market development orientation, Ms. Lai Viet Anh, Deputy Director of the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy (Ministry of Industry and Trade), said that this shopping festival focuses on the Mother & Baby sector, one of the fastest-growing sectors on e-commerce platforms recently. Through the "Megalive Youth" model, the program is expected not only to stimulate online consumption but also to contribute to promoting the ecosystem of creator commerce, livestream commerce, and digital business for young people.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan, Director of the Center for E-commerce and Digital Technology Development (eComDX), Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy, further shared: “This is not the first time we have collaborated with partners to promote the digital economy. The positive results from collaborative programs with TikTok Vietnam and SYS Vietnam in several provinces and cities recently have created a solid foundation for longer-term steps. Notably, this program is not just short-term training but also aims for a 'lifelong learning' model for content creators. After completing the training, participants will continue to receive support in updating new policies from state management agencies as well as the latest operating regulations from the TikTok platform to facilitate digital economy startups. In the future, as a state management agency, we will continue to coordinate and implement many similar programs for other industries. The core objective of eComDX is standardization. "The team of digital commercial content creators ensures a transparent business environment, adheres to the law, and provides substantial support to empower Vietnamese youth to confidently take control of their future in the digital economy," Mr. Tuan emphasized.
