Following the success of the series of super-fast order closing livestreams at the Hung Vuong Fair in Phu Tho on April 22-23, on April 24, the Center for E-commerce and Digital Technology Development - eComDX (Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy, Ministry of Industry and Trade) continued to collaborate with the Department of Industry and Trade of Gia Lai province to organize the "Livestream Program to promote, introduce, and sell agricultural products, connecting with e-commerce trading platforms" at the People's Committee of Hoi Phu Ward, Gia Lai.

Program Overview
Attending the program were Mr. Nguyen Dinh Kha, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Gia Lai province; Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan, Director of eComDX; along with the presence of leaders from many communes and wards of Gia Lai province and businesses, cooperatives, and production and trading establishments of characteristic and reputable agricultural products in Gia Lai province whose products participated in the mega livestreams.
"Strategic weapon" to solve the problem of agricultural product consumption.
In his opening remarks at the program, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Kha stated that, in the context of Gia Lai province's agricultural production continuing to develop on a large scale and with diverse varieties, and many key products such as coffee, pepper, cashew nuts, fruits, and livestock products having high yields, the issue of stable and sustainable consumption remains a pressing requirement.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Kha, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Gia Lai province, delivered the opening speech for the program.
In today's digital economy, livestreaming is not just an entertainment tool but has become a "strategic weapon" in solving the problem of agricultural product consumption. For regions like Gia Lai, livestreaming plays a crucial role in completely transforming traditional business methods.
Mr. Kha stated that, despite the achievements, a significant portion of agricultural products still lacks sustainable consumption linkages, posing a risk of "bumper harvests leading to price drops," especially during peak seasons. Therefore, the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee has issued a plan to support agricultural product consumption in 2026 with the overarching goal of promoting supply-demand connections, expanding markets, and strongly applying e-commerce and digital transformation in agricultural product consumption.
"The 'Livestream Program for Promoting, Introducing, and Selling Agricultural Products, Connecting with E-commerce Platforms,' organized by the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Industry and Trade in collaboration with eComDX, is a concrete and practical solution to bring Gia Lai's agricultural products closer to consumers inside and outside the province, aiming towards the international market through digital platforms."
The products featured in today's two mega livestreams are key agricultural products with large production volumes, carefully selected, with clear origins, guaranteed quality, labeling, packaging, and meeting export standards, reflecting the unique identity of Gia Lai, such as: coffee, pepper, cashew nuts, bird's nest, sticky rice cake wrapped in thorny leaves, tea, watermelon seeds, fermented pork sausage, herbal essential oils…
The program is not simply an online sales activity, but also a direct bridge between producers, cooperatives, businesses, and consumers, helping to shorten intermediaries and enhance product value. At the same time, it provides an opportunity to widely promote key agricultural products, OCOP products, and distinctive products with the unique identity of Gia Lai to a large number of customers on digital platforms.

In particular, to increase the reach of the livestream, the Deputy Director of the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Industry and Trade, Nguyen Dinh Kha, and representatives from various businesses also joined the livestream to introduce, promote, and share stories about the products, expressing their boundless love for the beloved land of Gia Lai.

After today, the livestream will end, but the journey to put Gia Lai's agricultural products on the digital map has only just begun. In the future, as digital infrastructure becomes more complete and the e-commerce skills of the people in the mountainous region improve, livestreaming could become a key distribution channel, helping to reshape how local agricultural products enter the market faster, more directly, and with greater value.
Sharing his thoughts at the livestream program, Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan stated that they are working together on a mission: bringing the heartfelt products of Gia Lai's farmers directly to every family's dinner table through e-commerce. Each livestream session is not just a "touch" to sell products, but also a strategic step to help Gia Lai's agricultural products reach further in the digital market. The impressive numbers, with tens of thousands of views and thousands of orders closed in the two Mega Livestream sessions with a high conversion rate, are a great motivation for businesses and households in Gia Lai to continue their journey of business innovation, gradually transforming digitally and aiming for sustainable development.
